Our very own Dyana Williams from ‘The Afternoon Delight’ on Classix 107.9 is our latest highlight on Women’s History Month.
Dyana Williams, is an entertainment powerhouse and an award-winning broadcaster. She has served as a music activist, print journalist, television producer, reporter, and documentarian. One of her most significant accomplishments, is her work to lobby for the passage of House Resolution 509, The African-American Music Bill. The bill not only recognizes African-American music as a viable cultural and economic entity but also established June as Black Music Month. She is the entertainment correspondent on Chasing News with Bill Spadea, which airs each Thursday on My 9 in NJ & Fox 5 in NY and is a frequent commentator on African-American music and culture.
Williams graduated from Temple University cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in radio, television, and film. She currently sits on the Board of Visitors of Temple University’s Klein College of Media and Communication.
