Philadelphians protest at police headquarters, demand radical change after officers’ racist Facebook posts
PHILADELPHIA— After a study by the Plain View Project showed that nearly 330 active Philadelphia police officers penned racist or offensive Facebook posts, Philadelphians are demanding that all the officers involved be taken off the street immediately, fired where necessary, and criminally charged where warranted. Demonstrators will gather at police headquarters, where speakers will list demands and share stories of how they have been affected by policing in Philadelphia.

WHAT: A Rally for Justice is a protest against racism and other forms of bigotry in the Philadelphia police department. Demonstrators will call for radical change in a departmental culture that allowed officers to publicly engage in racism on Facebook.
