Mayor Cherelle Parker has been the latest laughing stock of the city after botching the Eagles fan chant Monday as she and the rest of the city celebrated the Philadelphia Eagles’ NFC Championship berth.

Parker addressed the city on Sunday ahead of a snowstorm and deep freeze that was set to impact the Northeast region this week. Temperatures were expected to drop into the high teens on top of about six inches of snow. As her monolouge came to a close, she expressed her support for the Eagles by leading the famous Eagles chant.

“Let me hear you all say, E-L-G-S-E-S, Eagles! Go birds,” she said.

We’re not sure if the cold weather that overstimulated Mayor Parker and may have caused a brain-freeze, but we understand that her chant was with pure intent to galvanize this Philly fans in attendance. Unfortunately, her misspelling of the team name has people thinking…. we might need to hold onto the American Education system?

“Gonna need the Philly Mayor to work on her “EAGLES” chant before the NFC Championship” another X user wrote.
