Halle Bailey Secures Restraining Order Against Ex DDG

Allegations Surface
Halle Bailey, renowned for her role in The Little Mermaid, has obtained a temporary restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, rapper DDG (Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.), following serious allegations of abuse. Court documents reveal that Bailey accused DDG of multiple instances of physical and verbal abuse, including an incident in January where he allegedly assaulted her during a custody exchange, resulting in a chipped tooth and bruises.
Legal Protections Enforced
The restraining order mandates that DDG maintain a distance of at least 100 yards from both Bailey and their 17-month-old son, Halo. Additionally, he is prohibited from possessing firearms and from making any form of contact with Bailey. Bailey has also requested full custody of Halo while she is filming in Italy and has urged the court to require DDG to enroll in a 52-week Batterer Intervention Program.
Public Disputes and Social Media
The couple’s tumultuous relationship has played out publicly, with DDG previously accusing Bailey of restricting his access to their son. He expressed his frustrations through social media posts and a song titled “Don’t Take My Son.” In response, Bailey criticized DDG for featuring their child in a livestream without her consent, emphasizing her role as Halo’s protector.
Upcoming Court Proceedings
A court hearing is scheduled for June 4, 2025 to further address the restraining order and custody arrangements. The outcome will determine the next steps in this high-profile case.
