Zebra Airlift Drama

Ed, a pet zebra in Christiana, Tennessee, escaped from his new home on May 31—just one day after arriving. Over the next eight days, Ed captured hearts and headlines as he trotted through neighborhoods, even darting onto Interstate 24, which prompted a temporary closure to keep drivers safe. On June 8, aviation crews spotted Ed grazing in a pasture near Buchanan Estates. With a net, they airlifted him by helicopter into an animal trailer. Yes, they literally carried him through the sky! Ed has since returned home in one piece.

Avocado Overload Arrest

A bizarre incident went down at a Walmart after a customer accidentally entered 999 avocados instead of 9 during checkout, pushing his total to over $1,300. Frustrated by repeated mischarges—including other items ringing up incorrectly—the man claimed Walmart was “robbing” him and called the police at his own request. Walmart staff tried to resolve the issue, but the man demanded compensation for emotional distress and refused to leave, prompting officers to arrest him for trespassing.

Ice King of Poland

Lukasz, a 53-year-old extreme endurance athlete from Poland, earned the Guinness World Record by lying buried up to his neck in snow for 2 hours while wearing nothing but swimming trunks. He broke the previous record of 1 hour 45 minutes. The record was witnessed by hundreds, with medical staff on-hand to ensure his safety. Lukasz, nicknamed the “Iceking,” is a seasoned cold-exposure competitor holding multiple records. He specifically aimed to test his limits and highlight human endurance.
