“Poo Pills” Hit UK Clinics—A Groundbreaking Superbug Treatment 

Doctors are now prescribing capsules filled with freeze-dried fecal matter—nicknamed “crapsules” or “poo pills”—sourced from healthy donors. These pills aim to replace harmful, antibiotic-resistant bacteria in patients’ guts with beneficial microbes, using a method inspired by fecal transplants. In a recent trial with 41 patients recovering from drug-resistant infections, those who received real poo pills successfully integrated the healthy bacteria into their digestive systems, while placebo recipients did not. If backed by further studies, doctors are saying this treatment could become a powerful alternative to traditional antibiotics, helping to combat superbugs—which are projected to cause up to 39 million deaths by 2050.

TSA has issued a reminder that Costco membership cards (or any store loyalty cards, for that matter) do not count as a REAL ID when flying. Some travelers have apparently shown up at airport security flashing their Costco cards, thinking it might pass. Spoiler alert: it won’t.
