As you know, the Olympics have been trying to pull in a younger audience for years, and with that being said, they’ve officially added street dance battles to the medal events program at the 2024 Paris Games.
Breakdancing will be called “Breaking” at the Olympics, like it was in the 1970s by hip-hop pioneers in the U.S. Breaking has been given a prestige downtown venue in Paris, joining sport climbing and 3-on-3 basketball at Place de le Concorde.
