Vice President Pence presided over the joint session of Congress that affirmed Joe Biden as the winner of the presidential election. Lawmakers reconvened overnight after a violent mob halted Joe Bidens ratification
President Trump issued a statement Thursday saying he would commit to an orderly transition of power.
But that was long after the events of a long embarrassing chaotic and violent day.
These are the faces and antics of Trump supporters and the GOP base. The GOP has been using them to maintain power and support for their initiatives. The conspiracy theorist and the people who Fox News and conservative right-wing television cater to. The problem is, you can’t cure nor control these people. And today the GOP found that out in front of the whole World.
On a day when many of us thought we would be cheering Georgia turning blue and the election of the first Black Senator and a Young Jew but instead…
We witnessed a clumsy bloodless coup d’état attempt today that resulted in four dead and 52 — arrested. Now if you work in Washington or the White House how the hell do you go back to work today?
And here’s the kicker… Trump will probably Pardon them all. Let’s face it, knowing him, it’s really not beyond the scope or realm of possibility. For the first time since 1812 rioters took over the People’s Capitol some shockingly waving confederate flags in the hallways of said Capitol.
One thing that kept being repeated over and over again and was obvious to many was the kid gloves. The way these terrorists were treated and handled. if these were black and brown people if these were Black Lives Matter protesters or anyone else… This whole thing would’ve looked and ended and been handled a hell of a lot differently. 
Instead of talking about 4 dead, one due to a gunshot, 3 others for health reasons… We would probably be talking about a massacre.  But instead, we’re left with dozens of questions most notably how could this happen?
The whole World watched and asked how could a sea of people dressed as Trump supporters in full regalia take over an entire city and then when the moment suited them to storm the capital without being met with any normal level of resistance.
Oh sure we saw pepper spray, and tear gas deployed much later…. But that was after the damage had already been done. Congress was already on lockdown And the members were fearful for their lives.
No, I’m going to end this by stating the obvious. 45 to 50,000 white people converged on Washington yesterday and had their say and their way with it. And why? Because of privilege and entitlement.
In other words, because they were white.
PERIOD!!! 
Too many times I heard someone say this is not America, this is not who we are. Well from my vantage point and the people that listen and follow me… This is exactly who America is. There’s no need to look in the mirror. Because the problem looks like you.
