Dwayne Johnson My conversation with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris

There has been so much criticism surrounding the cover of the February 2021 issue of Vogue Magazine.  The cover features our newly elected Vice President, Kamala Harris.  And while most people are excited about the first woman of color as our Vice President, they are not excited about the photograph. Complaints of the lighting, which some say washes out her features, to the overall styling that others say falls short of capturing the United States first black woman to be elected Vice President.

The photograph features the VP in a dark blazer and pants, and her signature Converse chuck Taylor’s that she at times blazed the campaign trail in.  But the backdrop. Let’s talk about the backdrop.  With a sloppy and poorly arranged pink and green backdrop alluding the color of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority which she is in, some say that the photo does not show the importance of her historic win.

It has been reported that Harris’ team said that this was not the cover shot that both parties had agreed upon.

Have you seen the cover? What do you think?
