Free And Budget-Friendly Summer Fun Happening Across Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — Families and visitors looking for affordable ways to enjoy the city this summer have plenty of options across Philadelphia.

From free outdoor concerts to movie nights, museum deals and family-friendly events, Philly is offering activities for people of all ages without breaking the bank.

Some of the free events include live performances at Dilworth Park, jazz and Latin music nights at Spruce Street Harbor Park, outdoor movies at Independence Mall and yoga classes along the Delaware River Waterfront.

Historic Philadelphia is also offering special programming as the city gets ready to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. Visitors can enjoy storytelling, colonial history experiences and Declaration of Independence readings throughout the summer.

Museums are also joining in with discounted and free admission opportunities. The Philadelphia Museum of Art is offering pay-what-you-wish nights, while other local attractions are offering free or reduced admission on select days.
