Lizzo Redefines Sexy Making Her Stunning Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover Debut

Grammy Award-winning superstar Lizzo has officially added a historic milestone to her ever-growing legacy, making her debut as the cover model for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Captured by photographer Robin Harper, the breathtaking digital cover shoot took place in Miami, spanning a stunning Spanish-style South Florida mansion and an evening yacht charter along the bay.

For her landmark cover appearance, Lizzo made a powerful statement wearing a sleek black bikini from her very own size-inclusive fashion line, Yitty Swim, paired with a custom sheer sarong and classic Ralph Lauren accessories.

Throughout the feature, the multi-talented artist showcased a variety of bold swimwear looks, including pieces from her own brand and other designers, radiating confidence and joy. Reflecting on the moment, Lizzo opened up about how much the milestone means to her, noting that growing up, she rarely saw bodies like hers represented on major magazine covers.

“When I was younger, I saw it [Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue] and never imagined somebody with my body type would be on the cover,” Lizzo shared during her cover interview. “It’s just incredible to see how we’ve redefined sexy, redefined confidence and redefined what a swimsuit body is since I was a kid.”
