Party in the Park: El DeBarge, Joe, and Kenny Lattimore
The Dell Music Center put on an awesome finale that celebrated an amazing season of concerts for the summer of 2024.
The ‘Party in the Park’ got started with the ever so talented Kenny Lattimore. The Grammy Award nominated singer songwriter took his time giving Philly our favorite songs. Lattimore performed ‘For You’, ‘Forever’, ‘Perfect Stranger’, and ‘Never Too Busy’.
Next on the set was Joe, who came to the stage wearing a satin red suit ready to serenade the ladies. He performed ‘All the things’, ‘More and More’, as well as ‘The Love Scene’. He gave a heavenly salute to Big Pun as he performed ‘Still not a player’ and was so overwhelmed by the ladies singing ‘I wanna know’ that he let Philadelphia sing to him.
In between sets was an honoring of MiMi Brown, a legendary radio host, who celebrated 50 years in radio.Last, but certainly not least, was El DeBarge. He came to the stage singing ‘All my love’ to Philadelphia, and they sung the song word for word, right back!
El DeBarge pulled out all the stops, performing hits from his time with the group DeBarge such as ‘All This Love’, ‘I like it’, and ‘Stay with me’.
