Comedians Aries Spears and Tiffany Haddish are under the scope once again for the comedy sketches that went too far.

According to an exclusive by The Daily Beast, the family involved in the sketches is now seeking legal action towards the two.

Back in 2014 and 2015, a woman and her younger brother were invited to have roles in a pair of sketches featuring Aries Spears. The siblings, aged 14 and 7 at the time, were allegedly coerced by Tiffany Haddish to join in filming of these sketches. The siblings allege that the two asked them to perform sexually suggestive acts during the sketches. One of the sketches titled “Through A Pedophiles Eyes” saw the light of day when it was independently posted to comedy website Funny or Die in 2018.

In an excerpt from The Daily Beast article, the description of instances within the video are graphic.

“During the sketch, the camera zooms in suggestively on the 7-year-old’s buttocks and crotch while he plays. Spears sprays baby oil onto the child’s back and massages it into his shoulders in one scene, and at another point the child plays with a train in a manner that suggests phallic masturbation. In another sequence, Spears smokes a cigarette while observing the child nude in a bathtub and pours water on his feet.”

Funny or Die immediately deleted the video then, and recently released a statement deeming the video “absolutely disgusting” and claiming no involvement in the making the sketch.

The two children first got in contact with Haddish through the relationship between Haddish and their mother. Allegedly Haddish first approached the daughter for a role in a sketch where she brought to a recording booth and shown a video of two college students suggestively eating a subway sandwich. She then was asked to mimic the sounds and motions in a sexually suggestive manor. The 14-year-old girl felt uncomfortable and performed the sounds to a lesser degree and was told to leave. A year later Haddish approached their mother in an attempt to gather the 7-year-old boy for a “Nickelodeon sizzle reel”.
