Prince is undoubtedly one of the most Iconic Black musicians of all-time. Prince Rogers Nelson, also known as ‘The Purple One’ was born on June 7, 1958, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
From the sensual vibes of “Purple Rain” to the heightened energy of “When Doves Cry,” his extensive discography spanned a remarkable range, consistently pushing the boundaries of conventional genres and redefining what is possible in popular music.

Prince got into music professionally at an early age, as he signed a deal with Warner Brother Records at 19 years old. Prince released an extraordinary 18 albums under Warner Bros,, most notably Prince (1979), Purple Rain (1984) and The Black Album (1994).
Prince has over 40 studio albums in total, including three posthumous albums which saw him take a grand total of 29 tours. Prince has also given us some of his best work in the film industry, appearing in five movies, and three television shows.
